I was going between several different 6x9's (polk mm series, Boston Acoustic SR series, and Infinity Kappas) but ultimately settled on these due to great price on sale, and free two day shipping through discover. I was not disappointed. I am sending these approximately 100 watts of power, and they screamed. I'm using these for the rear deck in a 2011 Toyota Camry, and the tweeters were a tad bright when I high passed the speakers at 80 hz and set the tweeter switch to 0db. I tried the -3 db setting, and they sounded a little better. These went in my wife's car, and she decided she did not want subwoofers, so I decided to try these at playing bass as well. I have old precision power amps with great crossovers, so I low passed the speakers at 5000 hz. Well wouldn't you know they sounded great. The low pass setting took care of the tweeter brightness (moved the switch back to the 0db setting). They actually rattle her trunk, and sound like an entry level subwoofer inside the car! Very surprising. They handle the bass and power well! Lot more sound than I expected. You wont be sorry.

P.S. Prior to amping these, I had them hooked up to the factory radio, and they sounded good, but distorted at higher volumes. After putting the amp on them, I would suggest not even trying these without an amp. I would guess they were only 1/4 as loud prior to amping them. Go for a lower power handling speaker if you don't plan on amping them with at least 50 watts.

When I was looking for a new mp3 player, I knew I would like to get away from the iPods. The only problem was that they do so much. With Apple controlling the market for ways to listen to music I had no idea Samsung had come out with this gem. I love it. The Samsung Galaxy mp3 player is probably my favorite purchase in a long time. With the large memory capacity, touch screen, app market, music, and ability to connect to WiFi it has become one of my favorite possessions. As someone who doesn't want to pay every month for a data plan this was the perfect thing.

Pros:
8gb built in memory with slot for 32gb MicroSD card(totally worth it to get)
Crystal clear and precisely accurate touch screen
Android powered=huge app store
the headphones that come with it are pretty good(way better than the Apple ones)
WiFi and bluetooth capabilities(perfect for people like me, or parents who don't want their kids to run wild with a data plan)
External speakers are pretty loud while still being clear

Cons:
It needs to be said that this is NOT a smartphone. It can connect to existing WiFi, but when you're on the road= no internet
Can only add up to 32 gbs of memory(this is nit-picking though, total 40 gb memory is not too shabby)
The software is a little less user-friendly than ipods, you have to navigate a little bit more
The port for the wire is small and at the top=no docking capabilities(I'm still doing research on speaker options about this)

All in all, this is a pretty great device. The price you can't beat. I bought this device with a 32gb MicroSD card and totaled at 200 bucks. You would spend around 300 bucks on an ITouch with 32 gb. For me this was a no-brainer, and I am completely happy with my purchase(I've owned it for about 4 months now). I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Soundfly Player Transmitter Stick Players

It works well with most of the media that it is built to use. I am currently using a PNY 4gb SDHC card. It handles both SD and SDHC.
The Soundfly SD works well with Windows Media Player sync option as long as you allow Windows Media player convert the files. If you don't convert the files you will get a lot of what sounds like static.
I am not sure if it is a Windows Media player thing or not, as that is the only Sync program I have.

The reason I bought this is; I can be in as much as 4 different vehicles per day and to have a little device like this that I can just plug in to a 12 volt outlet, tune the radio to my preset frequency and have tunes is well worth the price.

What I would love to see in the future is; to have the Soundfly SD handle an unlimited amount of files so when they some out with a 120gb SD card it will read all the files, but for now I will have to use a few different SDHC cards (which you can buy for less per album than a CDR and much more convenient than having all those CDs to carry).
Update: It took a while to find out, If you are using the Soundfly SD to play Albums that you sync to the SD card the device will only read 20 albums and will ignore the rest on the card so it wouldn't do much good to buy more than a 2gb sound card as that would hold about 20 albums.

I am in awe of these bookshelf speakers. This is an overused phrase, but these speakers really do sound like they should cost several times the price I paid for them. The bass extension is superb, the mids are crystal clear, and the highs are well defined. The crossover between tweeter and woofers is seamless. It's as if I'm listening to a $3000 pair of floor-standing speakers. Three of these would create a great value proposition for right-center-left channel speakers in a home theater set-up. For 2-channel music listening, a subwoofer is not needed. I would not hesitate to buy them again. These speakers are designed in the USA and unfortunately, made in China. Definitive would be unable to sell these at the current price point if they were manufactured in the USA. Very good construction quality and quality control! I also own the smaller SM45 which are also truly outstanding and may be all you need for a modest apartment or room.

More than I expected

Infinity Reference 6032cf 6 5 Inch High Performance

These are great speakers! I put them in the doors of my 2003 Chevy Silverado extended cab pickup after the stock speakers died. They have much more bass response than the stock speakers and the highs are really very good, too. I picked them up from Amazon for $52.00 and no shipping charges (Best Buy and Crutchfield's both wanted $80.00). I received them in 6 or 7 days, even over the Thanksgiving holiday! Money well invested! FYI, there are some fitment guides out there saying these speakers will not fit the Silverado, but that's not true. They go in very easily, you just have to drill new mounting holes (use self-tapping screws) and don't bother with the adapter plates. Spend an extra few bucks and buy the GM wiring harness so you don't have to cut and splice or put new connectors on the wires in your vehicle. Get ready to love your sound system again!

Rockford Fosgate P2D4 12 12 Inch Subwoofer

I commute an hour to and from work 5 days a week, mostly on the interstate, so I decided I wanted to invest in my car (2005 Honda Accord) so I could enjoy my commute as much as possible. One thing I knew I wanted to do was add a sub to the factory stereo. At First I thought about going with a pre-made bass set up like the Infinity Basslink or a Bazooka. After some research I decided I would spend a bit more and get something I would really be happy with. Keep in mind this review is designed more for someone who has experience with doing an install of this type, your own results may vary.

After setting my budget, 400$, I decided I wanted to go either with dual 10s or a single 12. I decided I would be better off with the single 12 to help save on trunk space. Since this is a review is for the Sub I concentrate there as best I can. I was looking for 2 things; 1. A Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Sub that could run at 2 ohms 2. A Name that had a good reputation. Anyone who has done any car audio work knows you can tell a lot about a sub by its weight and the size of the magnet on the unit. Since you can't actually feel the weight when shopping online you have to go off of specs and look, in combination with reviews. Since this Sub had less reviews I was taking a bit of a chance there but I felt like it was warranted in this case.

I am running this sub with a Rockford Fosgate Prime R500 amp and the sub is in an Atrend E12Sv B Box Series 12-Inch Single Vented Subwoofer Enclosure. I get a very clean sound and a solid punch with no distortion at all. The amp has a lot of features that help the set up as well. Once I have a chance to spec out the amp I expect the sound to continue to improve, but even just straight into the car it sounds great.

I just recently received this item. Before ordering it, I researched several different FM car transmitters, read literally hundreds of reviews, and felt I was thus making an educated purchase. To begin with, Coby electronics, despite being a brand that prices things amazingly low, is one of the most dependable brands I've EVER used. [I purchased a Coby DVD player 7yrs ago for $40, and it still works perfectly, as well as out-performs many high-priced units.] There are a few details which set this car transmitter apart from most others at any price, making it not only a steal for around $17, but a genuinely great product.

- The first and most notable feature is that it offers a FULL RANGE tuner - meaning you can tune it just like a car stereo to ANY frequency, to find the one that is best for your car and your geographic area. I was astounded, in reading reviews of other transmitters, at how few of them offer this feature, considering that the best station for you can vary depending on where you live (these other products generally offer 5 or 10 preset frequencies, which I've read many reviewers say are mostly active radio stations, and thus useless). Generally speaking, 87.5 is one of the most common dead/empty frequencies nation-wide, making it perfect as a default for most people to tune for use of this product (that's what I'm using). But if you happen to need a different frequency, just click away until you find one that's perfectly empty and VOILA!
- The second feature, which I love, is that the cigarette adadpter (which powers the unit) has an additional port built into it, enabling you to plug you cell phone charger into it just as you would in the car's jack. Some people have said it's a little bulky (it sticks out a just a tiny bit more in order to accomodate that extra power port), but for the quality and convenience of having a second power jack, it's well worth it. The unit does not have a power button - it's on when plugged in, and you turn if off by unplugging it. I prefer this, because it's just not a good habit to leave anything plugged into your car's power adapter when the car is off for more than 30min (no matter what anyone tells you).
I took this out today on a test run, driving a 2 hour circle around the Blue Ridge Mountains, to see how it would fare while driving through the mountains' notoriously frequency-garbling geography, and it performed PERFECTLY. The signal is crystal clear, never once did I get even a blip of static. MOST IMPORTANTLY, as I've read many reviews of different transmitters saying that the sound quality was only "Radio" at best, the Coby unit (which I've got plugged into a 5yr old RCA Lyra mp3 player) was 95% CD/digital quality. And what's best is that, unlike CD's which get scratched, the quality will remain great. No more fumbling around a giant CD wallet while driving, dropping discs, or realizing that even your mix CD's just aren't eclectic enough. Load up your mp3 player and have hours upon hours of digital quality music on hand at the flick of the switch, and at a ridiculously great price. I haven't tried any other transmitters, but there's no reason to bother. BUY THIS

MC400 Motorcycle Speaker Amplifier System

I purchased this after trying other more expensive music options. I am very pleased with this product. I have been a dj foor more than 10 years, and I'm a bit neurotic about sound quality. I was pleased with the quality of the product. Plenty of wire to place the amp unit wherever you want. I mounted this on my Suzuki Boulevarde M109R. I velcro'd the amp unit to the top of the trees. I hooked it up to the power inside the front cowl. You cant even see it. The sound is very good. Being in an open air environment, you wont get a ton of bass from anything, but its not bad. This unit is very loud. At first I thought the volume control would be a waste, but I used 2 small zip ties to attach it to a cup holder and it comes in very handy. I was looking at a simillar unit at a harley dealership. I say the sound quality was the same, volume is better on the Boss, and the harley unit was $400 vs $55. Its a no brainer. Ive had the bike over 90MPH and the music is still loud enough to hear, even with a half helmet. I am very happy with this purchase.

I just ran the microphone out of my dash next to my speedometer. The iPhone 4S paired to the radio using 1234 as the Bluetooth pairing code. Nothing in the manual gave the code, but I found it on the internet.

What a neat product. I can't stand hands-free headsets and my car doesn't have integrated bluetooth in the radio, so my options were either to replace my existing radio (which I love) with a new one with built-in Bluetooth or tough it out with a tacky headset. Then I found this thing and it's been great.

It's not for everyone, but I love the CT-1000 and it gets a lot of interesting responses when people ride in my car. I have mine wired into my Alpine stereo so it mutes the radio and rings through the car stereo speakers. It works flawlessly and even has an auxiliary plug to use a standard headset.

Having the handset with the cord makes a huge difference in making calls. It's more comfortable than holding a modern smart phone and doesn't get warm like my phone does.

The speakerphone has great sound quality and it's as easy to use as the old-school car phones of yesteryear. Unfortunately, it's not a 3-watt analog phone so the reception is only as good as your handheld phone.

It's pricey, but well worth it. I installed it myself using wire-taps available at any auto parts store and it took about an hour. I removed my radio and its harness and did the wire tapping inside my kitchen and then just went out to the car and plugged it in. Easy as can be if you have a wiring chart for your car's radio (you bet I do!)

Crossfade Limited Over Ear Noise Isolating Headphone

Just got the product - arrived 3 days early.

I purchased the LP2s after my third pair of Bose Around-Ear headphones died. Each one required disassembly and soldering to extend their lives - I needed something that could take a beating and not sissy out like Bose products. Don't buy Bose - they're silly. However, if you are a silly person, try Bose - they may be the company for you.

The first thing I did when I got these was drop them on the floor - and it broke. Not the headphones - the floor. And floors aren't cheap y'know.

I can't fault these things. They're the headphones I've been looking for for years. Look, sound, design - beautiful.

My headphones are earmuffs when it's cold here. And when it's cold it's -40C (-40F). I'll update this review if anything interesting comes about in the frigid, wretched depths of the near-subarctic as wintertime approaches.

But in the meantime I will enjoy the bejeebus out of these, cuz sweet jeebus they're good.

UPDATE: These are good for keeping ears warm in -20C / -4F conditions in Montreal. However, due to the metal plates there is more heat-loss than a similarly sized pair of plastic headphones. The fabric cord is superior to a plastic cord in resisting cold-induced stiffness/fragility.

I just go this stroller today, but it isn't the first time I used one. I babysat a handicapped boy who had one of these he was well over the 40lb limit and it still pushed very nicely. I have a 2 1/2 month old, and his Graco infant carrier fits in it very nicely. The toy steering wheel is easy to get on and off of the tray but I don't think a small child would be able to knock it off. The picture shows that the lock button, fold button, and the other different locks are red. They actually are yellow. This was no big deal at all. I have a very large diaper bag that fits very nicely into the basket. The basket in the bottom is separated into 2 parts, a smaller portion in from for the child's toys (or when shoes might fall off!). It also has 2 bags, one on either side of the stroller. The front wheel locks in nice and tightly. It only took me about 30-45 minutes to completely assemble the stroller and the instructions were very clear. I love this stroller.

Pioneer FH X700BT In Dash Receiver Bluetooth

I received this as a gift to replace the stock radio in my Nissan Xterra. It was fairly simple to install with the wiring harness (not included). It has several features and added options. The lighting is a bit over the top but you can settle on white and it won't seem like you are at a disco while you drive at night. The Bluetooth feature is awesome. I can play music from my iPhone or Pandora from my phone without even taking my phone out of my pocket. I didn't think I would use the bluetooth but I am glad it has it. I don't foresee me even using the aux port at all because the music doesn't have any static while using the Bluetooth.
It is a little more powerful than a stock unit so you will have to play with it to get the equalizer settings right. I was scared initially it was going to bust my speakers. After getting the bass setting correct it sounds awesome.
I would highly recommend this unit.

Harmon Kardon HK395 3 Piece Speakers

I bought three of these speaker sets and was amazed of the sound and not only that they give no problems like distortion and other related sounds systems can render. I use them with an MP3 player or Pandora out in my 3 car garage. It's loud enough that neighbors could complain and has great subdued bass. Not irritating. I had to plan an outdoor wedding and I have several amplifiers that take awhile to wire and big setup time. I thought it through several months and I said wait a minute how far can I push these speakers and used them at the wedding they filled the area perfectly. Easy setup fits in a little suit case made me look like a pro. I bought them all at a $40 price range used before anyone really knew they were great. I set my dad up with a set hooked to a grace radio. He sits in the garage with Pandora and loves the speakers. My dad is not good with electronics at all but all he has to do is flip a switch on a power strip and it plays not much to mess up there. Power up an actual amplified setup like that and a huge pop can occur.

I ordered these because I wanted a portable speaker for camping trips and the beach, I have done tons of research and watched many youtube videos on different types of speakers out there. I ended up buying these as well as the iHome iHM60 to compare since they are half the price and also heard great reviews. At first glance the iHome was louder and a little more bassy but after playing a few different genres including pop, rock, reggae and a little country, you start to appreciate the clarity in the UNO, it's much more crisp and the iHome sounded muddy. Of course they don't compare to my nice big stereo at home but for portable speakers these definitely fit the bill. I bought two of them for more fullness, also I never heard the x-mini II but I chose these ones because of the ceramic speaker, which is found in high end speakers. Pick these up, you won't be disappointed.

I have always liked Audiobahn equipment. Although a lot of their stuff is way to flashy for me, the quality has always been there. These component speakers only had one review but it was a good review. The price was great too, almost to great. I have been messing around with car audio and home audio since I was about 14. I have used many brands with varying degrees of quality. What I have learned is that in general, you get what you pay for. I picked these up for about $50 shipped to my door. Installation was a breeze. At first I thought it was going to be a pain because of the crossover, but this thing is already pre-wired. The plugs only fit one way so you can't screw it up. I put these in the front doors of a 1999 GMC Suburban replacing the stock ones. There was plenty of room to mount the crossover directly to the door. I can imagine in some vehicles this would not be possible but mounting it under the dash would be a simple task.

I have a Pioneer head unit powering these for now. My toy budget is empty for now but eventually I will wire up a little 4 channel amp to power my mids and highs. I purchased a Rockford amp from amazon also. It is powering a JL 15W6 that I have had for about 15 years. Even wtih it's age it still bangs. The first mids/highs I replace were the back door speakers becuase one of them was blown. I replaced them with JL 2 ways and wasn't really impressed. But they still sounded much better than the stock ones.

Now to the Audiobahns. These speakers are MUCH better than the JL's I put in the back doors. I did not expect this, I have used JL for years and this is the first time I wasn't impressed. The audiobahns put out a crisper bass with very clear highs. I know once I get a little more power to these guys they will really shine. These speakers are amazing. Do not hesitate to try these out. I am surprised they do not have more reviews.

The first mids/highs I replace were the back door speakers becuase one of them was blown. I replaced them with JL 2 ways and wasn't really impressed. But they still sounded much better than the stock ones.

Now to the Audiobahns. These speakers are MUCH better than the JL's I put in the back doors. I did not expect this, I have used JL for years and this is the first time I wasn't impressed. The audiobahns put out a crisper bass with very clear highs. I know once I get a little more power to these guys they will really shine. These speakers are amazing. Do not hesitate to try these out. I am surprised they do not have more reviews.

For all you frequent travelers who've lost the audio cable for the Sony MDR-NC60 headphone this cable will not necessarily be the perfect replacement cord. First, the connector doesn't quite fit in the headphone jack; however, you can give it a little push to make it fit. Another option is to unscrew the cover a bit. Second, the cord is a foot shorter; however, this may actually be more optimal. Third, the cord is rather thick (generally a great thing) which becomes somewhat noticeable. Finally, the cable does not have a right angle connection at the seat connection point. Having said all this, I'm really really happy with this cable and it suits me well as a replacement cable for my Sony headphone.

For all others: this cable is really well made. The connectors are gold plated metal with a screw on metal cover and plastic injection sealed solder connection areas. Normally you'd only find molded plastic ends. The fact that the ends are made of actual metal components will allow you to, if $7 bucks is too much money, to fix these cables and/or customize it to suit your taste. Hobbyist will really appreciate this cable.

JVC Bluetooth In Dash Digital Receiver

Picked up the JVC KD-X50BT car stereo for my 1997 Chevrolet Truck. I also bought the Scosche installation kit and wiring adapter to replace the stock stereo. Installation was a snap and the stereo works perfectly. The bluetooth paired up with my Samsung Focus S Windows Phone without a problem. I mounted the included microphone just behind my steering wheel and the hands free features worked as expected. Streaming music from my phone works perfectly as well. I used a thumb drive with the front USB port and it worked great. It seems to scan the USB drive when you turn on the stereo and it might take awhile if the USB device is large. I've been using a 4gb thumb drive for now. I did plug in a 320gb Toshiba USB hard drive and the drive did spin up and show it had power but the stereo did not want to read anything on it. I did have 50gb of music on there. There might be some sort of size limit that I haven't taken time to figure out.
The Aux input worked great as does the FM radio. There is no CD drive on this unit, which for me was perfect because I don't use CDs anymore. The remote is very small kinda awkward really. Not sure why you need a remote for a car stereo anyways but it's there. It looks like it's meant to be a keychain but I don't use it. The color selections for the buttons and display are a cool feature as well. The sound out of the unit is good. I connected up a cheap 10" subwoofer and a 250watt amp and it sounds even better now. The unit has 2 USB ports, one on the front and one that's a wire out of the back. The bluetooth radio is not built into the stereo itself and is a small bluetooth adapter that takes up one of the USB ports. Not a big deal since I didn't plan on trying to connect 2 USB devices anyways, just thought I'd mention it. Overall I'm really pleased with the stereo and am glad to be rid of the stock cassette stereo I've been using in my truck!

I am a road warrior and my wife bought this for me for Christmas. This has become my favorite possession, I tell everyone about it.

--The audio quality is great, the best I have ever heard on a small portable speaker and on par with a lot of much bigger speakers.

--The battery life is amazing, I go days without recharging it, on standby it does not seem to suck up any battery and I feel like I get much more than 10 hours of playing music between charges.

--The range is strong, often I pair it with my iPhone and as I walk around the music keeps playing strong.

--Makes for a great speaker phone. I have done group conferences call via webex or Skype with no problem; pair it to my laptop and put it in the middle of the table and everyone on the call could the people on my side with no problem. Also use it often for the little ones, easier for them than holding the phone, they love talking to grandma and others on it.

--It is durable. I have even had it fall from about 10' in the garage and it has not skipped a beat (pun intended).

--And if you travel a lot, it is perfect, does not take up much space (I have a rolling briefcase and fit easily). A must have for a road warrior.

I use this everywhere. It is so easy to carry it around from place to place. It is in my office during the day, at night in the kitchen for clean-up, starts the day with me in the bathroom while I get ready for the day and of course goes on all trips. It rocks for watching Netflix on my laptop or iPad, I take it outside for when I am doing projects around the house. I pair it with my laptop, iPhone or iPad. Some people say the price is high, but given how much I use it the value is much higher. Buy it and thank me later!

Those of you using FM transmitters are missing out: the sound from this thru the line-in is awesome!
I previously thought the encoding was bad on my phone, but with this, I get full bass, beautiful highs, and everything in between. Stereo sepration is much better compared to everything consumer FM I've seen. I'm using a HTC Mytouch 4G, but I don't think it matters -- the sound is generated from the adapter, not from the phone (currently using PowerAMP as the music player).

Plus, since this is small and can mount on a velcro pedestal (included), you can put it on your dash,steering column, or pillar, aimed at you -- the clarity becomes excellent compared to "normal handsfree units" (I've used Moto T505, Ford Sync, and a GoGroove FM unit, and nothing compares to this, mainly because the mic wasn't in the right place). Nobody knows I'm handsfree in my Toyota Tacoma.

I've never experienced audio feedback -- only a low hush when not connected or if in Privacy mode on the phone (Tacoma SR5 sound system; FM/CD player -- nothing special). The blue light is pretty bright in the dark... I fixed mine with a sharpie (so now it's dimmer, but I can still see if it's connected). Being able to see if it's connected helps me stop leaving my phone at home ;)

Luckily this has a weak BT receiver, so it goes out of range past 10 feet from your car (silly T505 would stay connected for almost 300 feet so if you didn't turn it off, you had a tough time answering a call if you weren't in the truck). Using A2DP to locate my car means I can usually see it when I get to the saved location.

Only drawbacks:
1. You only get one button. This means the phone has to be accessible for prev/next track, etc.
2. You have to turn the unit on when you get into your car.

So... GoGroove - If you're listening -- do the following and you can have my money again:
A. Same form factor (or a little wider), but add:
B. Buttons on left/right for prev/next track
C. Power the unit on when you see the USB plug power on (then it will turn on when I crank up the truck. Don't auto power off when power goes away-- keep it like now where it powers off if BT goes away (on the GoGroove FM unit, if I stall the truck, it blips the unit and bluetooth connection during the restart and my phone gets confused). DO NOT increase the Bluetooth range!
D. Flash the LEDs on incoming call-- and stop the default blinking (sometimes I like listening to the satellite radio; unless I can see my phone, I don't know if a call is coming in). Glow red for not connected, blue for connected. Flash on incoming or SMS.
E. When bluetooth drops out (if I put the phone in "privacy") - pure silence should be output instead of a low hush...

Reply if/when you've got a new model. Otherwise, I'd recommend this unit over any other "aftermarket BT connection" that I've seen. Pay the man and be very, very happy.

PS. I glued mine (hot glue - just a dot) to the pedestal. Now it doesn't turn around when I power it on/off, but I can still aim it using the velcro.

This product is the perfect solution when you have 2 devices that you would like to enjoy on two different outputs.
I use this for my Xbox and PC as the inputs and my outputs are a set of TurtleBeach X51's and a Sony Surround Sound System that is rated at 2000w.
I can turn the volume up pretty loud on both my sound system and my headset and there is no problem at all.

I read the reviews about the hiss that people are saying that they hear, I can most definitely say that this does not exist. There is no sound distortion/crackling/cracking/hissing or any sort of problem with the sound output into either my headset or my sound system. Sound is an extremely huge issue for me when I am gaming, especially when competing online because I play a lot of First-Person Shooters. The sound is exactly the same when I connect my xbox to my headset/sound system or when I use the Audio Crossplay.

I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an inexpensive solution to a very common first world problem, and not wanting to deal with the hassle of continuously swapping wires from one input/output to another.

The way the device is powered is thru either a usb cable or you can plug it into the wall. However, the front of the device is a lights up to be a very bright blue when powered, so like other reviews suggested, you can either use it a very cool night light because of how bright it is, or take a 2-2.5in piece of electrical tape, and cover the front with no light bleed through.

I am completely satisified with the product. If anyone has any questions about the product, please leave a comment, and I will answer the best I can, because I like being thoroughly informed about any purchase I would make.

JBL MS 62C Component Speaker System

I'm a firm believer in the saying "you get what you pay for" but after researching many different components for my '03 4Runner ranging from $200 all the way up to $600, I read several reviews about the JBL MS-62C set and all were raving about them. I went ahead and bought them thinking that at their price point, if they didn't live up, it wouldn't be a huge waste of money.

I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile and I wanted clean sound and have a bit of knowledge about how to obtain it. I knew I wanted a great midbass punch and a clear tweeter that didn't sound harsh. I was worried about the harshness since the tweeter used titanium material in lieu of a fabric like silk which typically sounds more smooth and less harsh. I shortly realized the worry was unwarranted.

The passive crossover has attenuation settings that can be made via a jumper to quiet the tweeter if you think it's too loud, but I like it on 0 attenuation (full volume). This is one thing JBL did correctly. Most passive crossovers that have this attenuation adjustment, show a positive and negative number along with a 0 setting. This leads you to believe that you can actually turn UP the volume of the tweeter. This is not possible. The tweeter can only go as loud as it can go and the positive setting is actually giving you 0 attenuation of the tweeter. The 3 settings would actually be 0 then two attenuation steps below 0. JBL did this correctly by labeling the settings true to actually what they're doing with 0, -3, and -6 db settings.

The build seems solid. Nothing feels cheap or flimsy. I love the spring loaded terminals, which have stiff springs so they really clamp on to the wires well. With a sensitivity of 89db, they are not up there with some of the better (more expensive) sets, but still respectable. I am feeding them about 80 watts per side right now and as long as you have the crossover setting to the midrange/woofer correct, they can handle quite a bit of volume on that power.

The bottom line is, they sound awesome without breaking the bank. Definitely recommended.
