Chocolalala Mister G
Mister G's Chocolalala is great music for the WHOLE family. My Nicaraguan mother in law/nanny and my husband speak Spanish to our son (I only speak a little Spanish). We sing the songs and dance with him to this CD. The music is very catchy, original, bilingual music. Chocolalala bridges a variety of musical styles, and the songs are both educational and entertaining at the same time. Mister G has a stellar accent compared to other children's musicians who've made bilingual albums. Even if you don't speak a word of Spanish you'll love Chocolalala, and you're guaranteed to learn at least a few Spanish words. I find myself singing along to the music even when I'm in the car by myself. After listening for only 5 minutes I'll bet your family will be fans, too. There are two bilingual songs on Mister G's album Bugs.
My day job is planning family programs for a museum, and I've booked Mister G to perform several times. His live shows are awesome bilingual dance parties. The kids love his music whether they are English or Spanish speakers. Mister G is one of the performers that gets everyone out of their seats and dancing in the aisles.
This cd captures the excitement of seeing the artist live. Mister G appeals to adults as well as kids because his music is technically and artistically astute. You can't help but to rock to the music and it is enjoyable to share with kids and grandkids! The energy is contagious.
BalasHapusExcellent CD with a variety of fast and slow songs sung in English and Spanish. The songs are lively and catchy, and my 15 month old immediately started dancing when the first track, "Colores," came on. We are trying to teach our 3 year old Spanish, so this CD really helps with that, and music is a great medium for learning. We also have Mr. G's "Pizza for Breakfast" which we also love. We can't wait to hear more from Mr. G!
BalasHapusThis CD has played constantly in our car and home ever since we acquired it several weeks ago. My two boys love every song, especially the title track. We don't speak Spanish to them, but they are already picking up words and understanding the concept of bilingualism just from listening to the album over and over again. If you are familiar with Mister G's earlier albums, you will recognize his clever lyrics and skillful instrumentation. Those new to Mister G will thoroughly enjoy this album, which contains the bilingual songs on top of the jazzy, fun tunes he is known for. This is music that kids adore, and - a huge plus - parents will dig it, too.
BalasHapusI am a mom of three year old boy/girl twins, and we were already big fans of Mister G's music! I can't say enough about Mister G's new CD, Chocolalala!! The CD is always playing in the house, it comes with us in the car...my kids just can't get enough of the great music and catchy lyrics.
BalasHapusThis bilingual CD is great, even if your kids aren't bilingual (like mine) - you'd be amazed how quickly kids pick up on the meaning of certain words and phrases. They will absolutely love the great beats and melodies, and will soon want to sing along!
I highly recommend that you add this CD to your children's music collection - you won't be disappointed. And the greatest part of all, is that the music is so good, parents will love listening to it!
and it's an easy way to learn some Spanish. Our 6 year old son really loves it. And fun for parents to listen, too (over and over!) Definitely recommend it.
BalasHapusAfter seeing Mister G at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA we got all three of Mister G's CDs for our five year old daughter. They are really smart, fun songs that kids (and grown-ups!) love; I appreciate the musicianship. I love that CHOCOLALALA is bilingual as my daughter picks up Spanish words in a fun, natural way. I highly recommend this album.

BalasHapusI am a huge fan of Mr. G and this is his latest and greatest album. I just bought it for my nephew, whom my sister and brother-in-law are trying to raise with both English and Spanish--it's perfect!
